yeh im trying to find my pc lead for my phone unless u want me to send them to your mobie?Oi Wiilts - any pics yet?
im sure that the size of groups even if split in two may attract the attention of the land wardens so its gonna have to be stick to the byways on the day
we dont wanna give them any cause to ruin the day for us or others that are out
Please don't misinterpret this bud; I'm not preaching or trying to be 'holier than though' but shouldn't you be sticking to the byways anyway???
Large groups congregating and playing round some of the favourite mudholes could well attract the Land Rangers attention as will inadvertantly straying off piste as I once found out
But the ones I have met are great guys and are helpful if they see that you are not tearing the place up and are out for fun which I know are your intentions
An OS map close to hand (or MM) is a good way to show them you are making the effort by trying to stay on track and not just driving willy nilly across the Plains.
Remember that they DO have the powers to report anyone not complying with their requests and prosecution could follow.
I was quite surprised when a Land Ranger said that the Plains are mostly SSSI and the army have to repair any damage they make when on manouvres in those areas.
Enjoy your day guys, shame I'm working cos I'd have loved to tag along!
