And just how long have you had these overheating problems?
Jeez mate, you 2 were lucky to get out of that. What lotto nos are you using next week?
thats some shocking stuff there mate - glad your all ok. did you not see flames flaring from underneath the car when driving along then ?
Glad you two are OK....Knew nothing about it till it smelt. But if hadnt been for smoke in cabin wouldnt have thought anything about it as the farm at side road always burning things. Been offered a diesel on a 95.... have see how much&quick they pay out
Gutted to hear about the fire, like others have said at least you and the missus were ok.
Was in machine mart earlier and saw fire extinguishers for £15, reckon I'll dive back in there and pick one up!
Slight hijack but on a similar line...I've notice my heat shielding is all but worn away in lots of places...anyone recommend a reasonable priced material to replace/recover them?
In my experience, a £15 extinguisher will do sweet FA on a car fire
I'm not sure a fire extingusher is worth carrying. Would you lift the hood on your car to put out an engine fire? The only thing I would be doing is looking for somewhere nice and safe to watch a range rover burn.

About 10mins... then it stopped.
glad your both ok.
