Dunno, I'll be doing the trip next weekend on 235/70 16 boggo standard tyres cos I just got myself another Disco and there isn't time to sort new rubber out.
Will certainly miss my 265/75 16 muds I had on my last one. :(
At least I will be on a par with a newbie on the day! :p

i should imagine you'll still make most of us noobeez look silly:eek:
personally i could do with something a little grippier to make up for my lack of skill/experience :)

without a doubt you will see me get stuck at some point .........so you can all see a safe recovery....as long as drewster isn't about :boink:

i shud imagine the idea is not to make anyone look silly.

If its anything like normal - its a good day out all within everyones limits, so everyone wants to do it again.

do the maths tyre size is the width of the tyre divided by a percentage in this case 75% this gives you the tyre wall height or profile double this and it gives you tyre height add the rim diameter and that will give you overall diameter

so 255 /100 = 2.55mm *75 =191.25 * 2 = 382.5/25.4 =15.059" + 15 = 30"

:D lol but seriously it'll be a good day out,No ones going to be takin the **** out of yer driving skills or i'd be in for a a load of abuse on the day !
Anything you're not happy about or unsure of just flash yer light, phone or cb you will get as much help as you want.

We've driven the route and gone through the game plan so I can't see there being any problems.......And when we get to the muddy wet part no newbies are expected to do it as we will take you through it in our landys if you want to get a feel for it.

sounds like you fellas have put a lot of work and thought into the planning and it sounds like we're all in for a good day out :) :) :)
i can't deny the maths definately makes me look wrong but even colway have it listed wrong-TyreSize
