Rotten bulkhead

Hi all, I'd like a little advise as to weather a td5 bulkhead would fit onto my 2.5 petrol 90 ive converted it to a 200tdi now needs a bulkhead and would like a td5 one for it.

Is it an easy swop? I'm a fabricator by trade so cutting/welding not a problem, it's more electics ect I'm bothered about

Same size and all, your dash will need to be a TD5 one though unless you feel like bodging the old one on

Might just have to modify a couple of points to make it fit

A 200tdi dash will fit and possibly a 300tdi anaw

If ye stick some maskin' tape around connectors etc and number them, then it makes life a wee bit easier

not really (from what ah can remember). Ah only had tae drill some holes and block some up, remove the td5 wiper motor bracket, drill some holes fur the lower dash/ heater box channel thingy and fit some nutserts/ rivnuts (basically)

Mmmmm in that case do you know if I can get a defender dash into a series easily ?

TBH ah've nae idea as never done one mesel' mate. Maybe somebody else has and might be able to answer that yin

Is that for your v8?
the only real differences i notice between my 110 v8 and my old s3 is, the 110 has a fuse box under the dash and is therefore different in that area. the s111 has a notch that fits snug to the lower dash. If you have a look at my 110 rebuild thread you can almost see how the bulkhead looks empty. Windscreen hinge area also different

its a common fix for rotten bulkhead ,there are all basically the same on defenders 90/110s as buster said just a few rivenuts ,and spray with thinned waxoyl or similar after inside all cavities after you get it built

If I get one with the td5 dash still attached it will go in then? It's the dash I'm after really with the centre console ect? As for wires they all similar?

This is actually the last of the 300 tdi bulkheads and dash - straight swap.
