Hi

Thanks
Yes have watched the video have deleted all in Key 2 box and entered the code inside the keyfob.
Original key works yes, Spot on.
I will see if I can find the EKA code in Nanocom - Thanks for that!

Where abouts in Nanocom am I looking for EKA code?
Thanks

Not sure where else to go now though.

Try it to program it again and see if that helps.

I got rid of my D2 a few years ago, but managed to program quite a few keys into it and other D2s with no problems.
For some reason I think the EKA code is in utiltiy menu, but could be wrong.

Cheers

Found EKA thanks :) have made a note of it.

Just retried.... one thing I have noticed though the Fob date inside the key is newer than my current Fob/Vehicle. Spare Fob is dated 03. Wonder if that is the issue.

As you can see the codes is entered into Key 2 and the settings are saved.

Weird!!!

Yes. delete the number in slot 2 and try it in one of the other slots available.

Follow the video for the nanocom evolution to the letter and see how it works.

Cheers
Tried it, Didnt work!

I wonder why my spare key has a transponder chip. yet my original key doesnt! Weird.

Flip your key integrated board over and see if it has the extra little yellow "chip" in it.

A black transponder chip is normally A rover 75 key. however it should still program and work.
You will see pictures and info for the different keys in the attachement I linked earlier.

Cheers

Hello, Maurizio here from Rome, Italy.

I have a similar issue, and THANK YOU for the "nanocom - always disarm with key" tip!

Sooo... Discovery 2 V8, LHD

I have had to disable keyless entry as the immobilizer was having fits.
I can now enter only from the driver's door (left side), turn/twist key in the old school fashion.
At this point, to keep things safe, I would like to know if I can fit a lock to my passenger's front door (right side).
Literally, using an LHD driver's handle w/lock.
I don't mind a different key, although perhaps with the VIN (chassis) number, I could have it precut?
Are new locks "programmable" as happens to BMWs and other high brand motorcycles?

Thank you

PS Can the tailgate also be equipped with a lock?

Hi, you'll have to modify your passenger door to the RHD setup to have a key lock on it, as about the tailgate i have no ideea but almost everything is possible with enough stubordness and technical skills... why isnt your central locking working?

The central lock/alarm receiver under the roof was oxidized and literally rotted away, so the LR Dealer had to bypass it; I can now open/close the car and start it in pure 1960s fashion.
So, if someone parks too close to the driver's door and I can' access from there, I literally have no war to unlock the car!
I was hoping a simple "rhd driver's door handle w/lock" could save the day.

The LR dealer should have just replaced the receiver if only that was the problem  ... that receiver can't be bypassed, it can be there and working or not which means that the fob doesnt work as well. Even if you fit a lock on the RH door you can't remobilise the vehicle from there just open the door unless you rewire the key switch input into the BCU as the logical input to be exactly like when you unlock the driver's door, it's not so simple as you thought... the simple way is to fit a new receiver and make the fob work.... and cheaper than a RHD door latch assy

I asked if the central locking is working or not which is not about the receiver... the question is: All the other doors are reacting when you lock/unlock the driver's door or not?

Oh, ok, sorry, I had misunderstood.
Yes, everything worked.
1st press of the open button to open driver's door, a second press to open the entire car.
I prefer it this way as it's safer against hijackings etc.
So, I'll just order a new receiver.
