I have a range rover sport l320 2005 drives really well until you stop at a junction or on a hill
Then it is really slow to pull away no power till you build it up
I have deleted the egr new air filter cant see any splits from turbo pipes
Any Ideas what it could be
Would a mag sensor do this

Was the egr valve programmed out? Most ecu's now know when the egr valve is open and the airflow meter can confirm the difference in airflow or it'll fault and give lower power. Any fault codes or engine light?

No not programmed out nor a engine light as this model range
Rover sport (l320 2005) did not put up a engine light
When the egr valve is deleted

Welcome first ;)
I take it its an auto?
Have you had it on diagnostics for any codes?

Did you delete the EGR because of the problem as a fix?

Hi yes it's a auto not putting up any codes more then egr
I deleted the egr first to see if they was the problem however
One taking the pipes of the egr I seen someone tried
To delete them with a old but of alloy that was not even fitting right
So I got a kit and done it correctly and removed butterfly from intake

I am thinking it may be the auto box needing a flush and oil
Doing it's just it changes gear fine and pulls like a train
And it picks up instantly you put the throttle down put when you
Stop on a hill it is really slow to take off until you moved about 30 ft
But on flat it's fine when pulling away

Hi

Do u have the 2.7 TDV6 plse

If so did u remove and clean out the MAP sensor that sits on top of the throttle body plse as they can block up solid

Indeed dont need the egr’s mapped out until after 2007, assume u left the pipes on and blanked it off further down due to the MOT examiner checking if the egr pipes are there

Know when I done mine I found an air leak on the throttle body where the egr pipes are fitted , but plse see what the map sensor is like first , don’t be tempted to poke anything down the hole of the sensor or it will get damaged, brake cleaner or map cleaner spray is the best to get from Halfords etc

Hope that also helps
