That dirty bastard rounded off on me! Same bolt the other side as well
It was going so well oh well, 2 bolts to get out not too depressed
I'm getting some of those grip sockets tomorrow, I've got a set but only goes up to 14mm and I can't wield the hammer in there. If they don't work plan is to use a slitting disc to cut the head of the bolt off because as far as I can see, the thread is only in the hub flange, not the knuckle. So it should just pull out with the hub..? Please shout up if I'm wrong or I'll be royally f***ed
Otherwise, it's been ok. Bit scary jacking one of these up for the first time
How you got on today @bane1985

Only had it done Wednesday lolAlso @bane1985
have a search for D2 hub seal, you will find a bag of worms regarding the size of them and some failing really early.
Cheers
Don’t half mate I’ll do the service and hopefully he’ll fix it at garage as he ain’t fixed it or do you think I’m being unreasonableJesus, sounds like a proper landy day! Hope the babbys alright?
Pop over tomorrow if you wanna get a quiet hour, you can point and laugh at me popping my bollocks with these bolts

I think I’m going to see what they say first but I’m not paying them anymore money I’ll do it myself if they wouldn’tYou've paid to have it fixed and it aint fixed....tell him if he can't do it youll have your money back thank you and take it to someone else! I don't think that's unreasonable...
As @neilly says, have a good search tonight cuz there's loads of threads in different forums about the seal sizes and quality and all sorts. You might fancy a bash at it yourself
Just out off curiosity could it be leaking from anywhere else down thereAlso @bane1985

Yep, fuse pulled mate and it's staying put which is good!
I've got plusgas mate yeah, not tried heat as it just rounded off soon as I tried to crack it. All the rest cracked off lovely. Think it's combination of 3foot bar and 12point socket not helping. I used a cheap 6 sided socket on the first 2 I undid and the wall of it snapped. They're feckin tight paddy!
It is one of the 4 bolts that hold the hub to the knuckle mate
Plan is if irwin sockets don't move it, cut the head off as long as it's only threaded in the hub flange, not the knuckle which I don't think it is
Hi buddy
Great u pulled the fuse and at less then suspension won’t try and self level
Ref the bolts on the wishbones it was the length of the bolt that had seized solid , i also found using a SDS drill on hammer helped to just break the rust loose enough to turn it, only worked on one bolt
Plus have u got an air compressor by the way as I found a long reach zip wheel cutter
I have in the past soaked the bolts with plus gas overnight and then heated the bolt cherry red and it’s moved
Hope u get on ok
No compressor old pal, I have pre soaked in plusgas before I jacked it in this afternoon. My gut feeling is rust seal is broken and main hurdle now is the rounded bolt heads.
If irwin sockets don't work mate, it's off with their heads cuz the shank should pull out with the hub as it's only threaded into hub as far as I can see..?
Those irwins are brilliant , got me out of a few binds, did have to buy a lot more and bigger tools when I bought the disco
Indeed hope they come out a lot easier , mine wouldn’t turn at all, while bolt was rusted in , that’s why it took me 2 x days to get them out
These were the bolts after I had to cut through them, can see the rust on the outer edges where they had seized solid
Plus also got a hydraulic puller
Plse let us know how things go , shame ur not nearer as I would have popped over to have seen if I could have helped

Bloody hell that's almost welded in! I'm getting some slitting discs as well lol
R.e puller, bit beyond my means at the minute so i'll have to make no1 big feckin hammer work
Is a shame the distance, I see a lot of posts where I could help but the victim is miles away
