Hi Folks,
got into my Range Rover yesterday and upon start up, had an all round crackling noise from the speaker. After a 10 minute drive this largely went away.

I immediately thought I must have water ingress around the entertainment components in the rear compartment, so pulled the door and had a feel around. It was bone dry. I pulled the optic fibre cable from one of the components to make sure I could see light to and from the component, which there was.

Upon start up again Im no longer able to select DAB and there is no sound from the phone hook up or normal AM/FM radio.

Should i reset the MOST network service?

I also had a low power message come up on the screen. I'm guessing the battery may be on the way out.

Any had this before? Any suggestions.

Battery is first to look at, range rovers do not like low volts, any problems should all ways be looked at with a known good battery , bid you power down the units properly before pulling cables as they don't like that either and can throw a sulk for the he'll of it.

No.. when I think about it, I probably didnt give them the requisite amount of time to power down..

sounds like my D3 , it was throwing up all sorts of faults and spitting it's dummy out

after fitting a new battery all was well again

Ok disconnected the battery and the TSD seems to be working again and audio is back.. Have put the battery on a conditioner to see if I can bring it back up to scratch, if not it'll need replacing!

Right, I can get back to putting the Tuscan back together in peace. Thanks all.
