Radius arm sizing????

Dear chaps I need some help...

Haven't been on for a bit...landy has been on ice as have been out playing with my new boat last few months.

But work has rekindled.

In the process of buying some new cranked radius arms.

But for the life of me I have no idea if they are narrow or wide.

Its a 93 200tdi 110. The arms have the little triangular bit on top.

But...when reading on what people are advising regards measuring, I cannot decipher exactly what should be what width etc as online research shows up lots of different info.

Are the actual arms themselves a different width? Can I just measure this? Or if not, what exactly do I measure?


I'd appreciate some help as its driving me insane.

Some online info suggests my model must be narrow, some suggests mine may actually be wide?

But I cant decipher exactly what/how to measure as lots of conflicting advice and figures.

Iirc its the bit that bolts to the axle thats different width, 38 and 45mm springs to mind, earlier cars being 38mm, but who knows what axle swaps ect its had in its life?

A little Avon SR4 rib...not the usual faded, tatty crap though. A very nice one.

So the radius arms....

Everybody refers to bush size when quoting figures...but are the actual arms wider (measuring across at axle end)??? Just want to know if I can just measure across to easily determine.

Also read that wider arms have triangular bit on top...mine do. But then also read that both have these.

Needless to say...my head hurts from confusion!

Yes, both narrow & wide can have the tab on top so whatever you do DON'T reply on that.

Just measure the thickness of the radius arm where the bush fits through, from memory the widths are 38mm & 43mm (changed mine from narrow to wide last year).

Just to update. Found they are actually wider arms despite it being 200tdi.

Treating myself to some Adrenaline 4x4 front and rear arms. When I called them, the guy was the most helpful, straight talking person I've dealt with in a while. Kind of sealed the deal for me actually.
