fucin ell..
no one gonna help then???
bunch of people who know nought telling the man what to do!..shame..have any of you done this??(expecting a torrent of hate now!!)
right then..
you will need a basic lpg kit of parts same as single point injection..ie tank.pipes,vaporiser..filler etc
vaporiser can be small..but must be capable of injecting gas at boost..m84 is good.
you will also need injection nozzle..one of..install it into piping post turbo..nozzle available from tinley tech..tell them what its for.
you will also need micro switch and clutch switch..
also two lpg gas electric valves (triggered by above)
also 2 "power valves"
plumb up lpg system same as single point..but instead of mixer plate inject gas via nozzle..
the micro switch is to be positioned on injector pump so as to be on when OFF idle..this micro switch powrs up gas valve 1.gas valve one goes to power valve one and to nozzle..so once off idle gas injected..
clutch switch goes to gas valve 2.gas valve 2 goes to power valve 2 and tees into gas line to nozzle...BOTH are feed via vaporiser..WHEN clutch depressed cuts off gas valve 2
why??one needs to inject a really small amount of gas at idle..if you dont its too "jerky" and tends be too horrible when gas applied, ie not smooth..once off idle one needs more gas, this is where gas valve 1 comes in (via micro switch)
the clutch switch cuts the gas totally..this is needed as otherwise engine will predetonate ie on gearchanges etc..
re amount of gas,,feck all..30 litres lasted me 400 miles on a 3.3 6 potter at 2 bar boost..
you set it up with the power valves so as it DOES not predetonate..you WILL know when it does!!unmistakable..
i used to get 40mpg at 65 in a rrc with gas on..and was quicker than a 3.9...
re fitting one self..if you can fit a gas cooker safly or boiler then this is easy..
dont forget your soapy water in an old hand spray bottle..
ecu for this are available now..
