I've Got a Numax Heavy duty battery on my 4.6..

1200cca and 120ah it has sat for over 2 weeks and still spins her over like a top...

Hankook are alright, but the 2 year old one on my D2 could barely turn it over...
Hmm, that'll go on the diesel aswell?
Are they the same battery trays?

Mf31-1000, is this in your P38 @Datatek? I'm not so sure battery is as good as it should be, I'd changed the fuel filter yesterday and bridged the fuel pump to help start the engine and when I turned the key the engine turned over sluggishly?
After I stopped the pump it and turned the key again it span over quite happily... It's only 720amp 93ah.
It starts great in the morning which contradicts the drain comaint??
I have the MF31-1000 in the P38, it's the second one, the first lasted 8 years until an alternator fault took it out, I have 2 in the Transit, one in the MR2 and one in the lawnmower. Oh and I just bought one for my daughters Citroen van. Best batteries I have come across in a long time. Last one came I think with a 5 year warranty too.
The P38 will sit for 3 to 4 weeks and still start quickly.

I'd be interested in that link. Mine sits at Dublin airport for a fortnight every couple of months and I'm paranoid it will be dead when I get off an 8 hour flight at 5am.
There are supply problems at the moment as all this stuff comes from China, the supplier I have been using has no stock but I have found the same items on the following links. the charge controller is a simple unit but does all that is needed.

15 days is a long time without a run. Wait for the solar panel to arrive and see how it fairs before buying a battery. ;)

I had the opposite luck with their batteries. I went through 3 in a little under a year before I gave up with them and got my money back. Which was a shame because it was a punchy battery, but even with me doing 500+ miles a week they wouldn't stay charged.
I don't even remember what I have no now (I think Yuasa), been on for easily 5 years and only died on me once when I was out of country for a few months and forgot to hook my solar charger.

I'd bet your alternator set point is 13.8 volts.
