ahhh right, fair enough.
Better to fit the disco axles then I suppose and use some small offset wheels with series spats to try and keep the wheels within the arches. Axles are 3" wider aren't they ? Or something around that area

Still within the limits... just at the limits.. couldn't change anything else from being non standard if i put discs on them...
It also depends if that classes as just a brake modification or an axle modification?!

Disk brakes check out Zeus engineering.
Fitting a disco axle is not easy and not nice you have to compromise usually ground clearance somthing I am not willing to sacrifice!
I do however have a way of fitting early def strongish CVs inside the series swivel housing but requires custom shafts or stage one shafts both are expensive bit I will stick with drums as I have no need for disks myself.

UPDATE....
Mr James Martin is an absolute saint.
I absolutely recommend him to everybody.
Yesterday I was complete baggage due to a killer hangover. Mr Martin was very patient yesterday as I kept him waiting for a good few hours as I was still in bed feeling sorry for myself!
Regarding ze Frau... To cut a long story short I am staying in the UK until 09 Jan then it is my grandmothers funeral. The ferry is now booked for Sunday 13 January from harwich to Denmark. I keep debating on telling the mrs. Perhaps I should let her know I am just having an affair with an old girl?!
The gearbox is or should I say was completely fooked. Wednesday mr Martin will order a complete set of internal parts that fit inside the box.
Today we gave the chassis a lick of paint and then realised that I am running improved ratio for my diffs. Can you believe that I managed to briefly hit 70mph on the way to Martins with said fooked gearbox. Oh I am also running 265/75/16 insula turbos so she was scream like a b!@&$¥!
Today I spoke to Martin @ Rocky Mountain. A very pleasant chap. Martin will deliver to a mr james Martin next year, one times http://www.rockymountainspares.co.uk/?p=95

After much deliberation I will be in contact with Zeus engineering next year to quite probably order http://www.zeus.uk.com/land-rover.php.
The reason for this is that when I get the old girl back to Germany I would like to attempt to TUV (mot) her and register her on ze German net. Conventional drums are all well and good however black magic and some luck is always called for whenever she goes to the mot station for a brake test.
I will be ordering some new H4 lhd headlights whilst I'm over here and maybe a 35w or 55w zoning upgrade.
Oh yes the old girl is having a bit of a make over as all her paint fell off yesterday when we steamed cleaned her! Her new 2013 colour will be limestone white I think.
Phew.
I have just download the tapatalk iPad app so I will attempt to begin uploading pictures.

Great work here people, does this mean your about sorted now or are you still waiting on Ashcrofts today?
Erm not quite sorted yet...
Mr Martin informed me today that he has been able to get hold of some of the gearbox parts and some others hopefully will make delivery for tomorrow.
Mann it propa sucks breaking down over Christmas!
When my truck is back on the road, fingers crossed by no later than Monday (I have to pick my mrs up from fat wick airport Tuesday)!!
I will then send out the all clear (fingers crossed ) to then go live for landyzone international rescue!
