Be using the LT230 I think ? Its whatever one was mated to it when I got it

Going to swap it onto disco axles like V8 Jon did (using his guide) so I can get discs so will do away with the series axles. Then see if I can get some sort of t'fer box mod to change it from 4wd to 2wd when using it round town

Unless you have a better recommendation :) ?

where about are you ?

Derbyshire, moving to Northampton area... so not local, but, a series G/B fits on a pallet!

I'll see how it goes, just good to get a vague idea of prices for stuff so if it does start to get worse i know how many of the wife's shoes i need to sell to fix it :p

Bump,

I would 100% recommend James Martin.

If you feel it is on the way out I would get your box to "JM" ASAP as I had the dreaded chip tooth then first second and reverse gear died within less than 250 miles.

JM forgot to mention my shiny red magnatised axle drain plugs which clearly are the most important part of the project! Teehee!

As for the painting.... If it has or could have gone wrong then it has. But then the painting saga is a tale in itself.

Oh the wife still doesn't know. She thinks JM is the lawn mower man!

fantastic thread and well done jm, may have a salsbury axle rebuild at some point if mr martin is interested?:D (would be few months down the line cos my landy keeps breaking!)

I'm also liking the drain plugs very interested in those, they sound ideal!

hope your lovely wife takes to the landy when she sees it n good luck with getting back home

It's ok... unless you're doing above 44mph or below 50mph... then it sounds like it is about to explode on you.

If the series is going to be around much longer it needs some serious TLC in the next year or so, but, i'll wait till we've moved and then consult the finances. My biggest problem is i can't be with out it for that long else i can't go out laning. If we can buy a bit more land with the next house i might buy a light weight, do that up, then I can start on the series properly.

Oh, not sure if you saw my response with regards to the battery box, but, i basically extended down by several inches to accommodate the taller batteries.

First time I've seen this thread and having met the OP I had to read it from the start. I met him before this saga started when he popped around and bought my old roofrack, spotlights and Land Rover bike ... top fella and well done to James for getting things sorted.
I do fear however that he may have been shot at dawn by the wifes execution squad :)

It turned sour

for those on the receiving end at a guess?

Without going into details, our abuse of goodwill is statistically less than one percent.

I think we achieve some great efforts and successes and I thank everyone who has made this work and a success through a genuine desire to help should be congratulated.
