going to try get my wading kit on before sunday,just waiting for my 755 quid football bet winnings to clear into my account ..before i order it ...from gwyn lewis,,see ya ,,sunday..i will still go even if i dont get it in time..look out for green landy with number 27 on doors...
 
Nah!...think he's too pre-occupied with pimping his Vauxhall. About the only thing it hasnt got is in-car DVD...and I think he's even gettin that sorted soon!

Last thing he said when we were talkin about it was that he wants to get the car exactly how he wants it, then start looking for a 4x4. I have three motors that need constant attention so can see where he's coming from with that idea!
 
Well..to be honest the on-roader RRC just needs servicing and general old car looking after, and the wifes old merc is no bother....but I keep breakin stuff with the bobtail RRC, so it takes up most of my 'car messing' time:rolleyes:
 
ey up!!!!!!!!!!!!,orderd the wading kit today,should be here thur,going to fit it hopefully fri afternoon as my boss is letting me finish work early to fit it,,(HOW LUCKY AM I THAT HE TOO IS INTO OFF ROADING AND LANDYS,)he,s coming to tong (parkwood) sunday aswell,hoping the kit only takes a couple of hr to fit,,shunt be too bad for a plumber,l.o.l..tho am i better drilling side wing by snorkle to take breather pipe up and use a gromet for hole,or just sneeking it under back of bonnet and up...cheers lads

Whichever is easiest I reckon. The snorkle on mine was already done when I bought it (pain in the arse homemade thing that whistles like a kettle sometimes!) and comes up out the top of wing....But cos its there it's gonna be easier to have the windscreen replaced if/ when it needs doin

well the wading kit came today,just spent 30 min before it got dark getting the axle breathers,gearbox and transfer box breathers up into engine bay,pipes up side of snorkel ,so shouldnt take too long to connect up under bonnet tomoz,just got to check my gearbox oil level as the seals have gone between the boxes,i will just top it up for sunday if needed,so i can make it..so alls going ok and on track for sun,see ya their lads.

Excellent news! Glad its going to plan. Unusual, as it rarely does with a landy....so make the most of it!;)
I got tommorrow off (workin saturday), so plan to exchange the front swivels with oil instead of muddy water :doh:, then I'm all set for Tong too.

Thanks for the heads up.
The swivels don't look like they leak, but a certain amount of muddy water is getting in I think, so logically something must be coming out.
I'm game, so I'll try this stuff. Cheers

what routes do you use at parkwood joe ,do you go on the winch ones,..

Well, I got a winch on the front. Not got it working, and the new replacement cable in still behind the driverseat.....so I'll probably be drivin around gettin lost, hoping I don't suffer water ingress in the dizzy and ECU I did last time (hopefully shouldn't as thats been sorted).... I shall probably do my fair share of watchin others wreckin their defenders goin up the steps:eek:
 
theres loads to go at without doing deep water. will show you round this time. early start,open at 9.30, should have a cup of tea and a butty before we start.
