would certainly help, but better off raised up

disco ecu is on drivers kick panel, about 10" up from the floor

to look at it you can see it has been sprayed and drizzled with muddy water many a time, but its never been submerged, and so far its not had a problem.

needs to be raised for a proper job joe

cheers

i was wonderin why they were strugglin to get up that cut... couldnt arsed gettin out to have a look... and there were enough cars blocking the road at the bottom without adding mine..
that puddle at the bottom was deeper than it looked.. saw a disco with 2 people stood on step that had put a wheel in there an nearly rolled..

good pics...

Them steps are pretty awkward, and the Walls ALWAYS damage bodywork! I've never driven it cos I don't wana rip the body up.

I can't picture where that muddy pool is that the jeep is in there - has it been recently made/filled?

Cheers

its in the 1st picture, just...
behind the trees on the left.. you can just see some tape next to the guy stood next to the landy..
they taped it off but it fell off at some point during the day... it was quite deep...

Was that the same place the marshalls had to get out that JCB to get someone out?
Great pictures Nick

no it was where we went up that slope at nearly the end of the day... if ya go on parkwood 4x4 site.. go to events.. there is a link to the photographers site that goes every time theres a pay and play... go to his site (paul inskip i think) then click on 9 jan 2011.. last 3 pages of photo show the stuck motor and the recovery...

i would of put a link if i knew how to do it!!!!!

we gonna keep this fred goin for north of england folk... see if we can catch up the hereford fred... ha ha ha.. who fancies gettin there motor stuck so we can spend 3 days recoverin it? ha ha ha ha...

heres another of the jeep, died when it hit the water. took a good half hour to get it out. was good entertainment watching the lad bonnet surfing, up to his armpit in the water cos he hadn't put a recovery point on the front.

ho took it some places a wouldn't have....

That looks a good route he took, nicely varied....I particularly like that no water was that deep, ie no waves over the bonnet!!

he went round that puddle on the back rd where there were all those tree roots... i'm amazed he went down there.. its where i bent mi step and had to jump on it to straighten it out.. and he was on road tyres... on 18" rims..

i'm thinkin of poppin over to cowm on the 30th.. depending on funds and work... pub where i dj might be changin it from fri eve to sun aft's... gonna make a mess of my off roading fun...

Yeah, I remember that bit. Big balls for doin that bit with low profile road tyres!

Me and Rob will be at CowmLeisure on 30th. I think Rob's bringing along his Frontera, and with a bit of luck and some work I still need to finish this time my RR bobtail will behave itself:rolleyes:
