P38 Seat Height Memory

Hi All,
On my 95 P38 4.6 the memory on the drivers seat seems to have an issue that I can't figure out. I can set everything and then store the settings - the dash responds with Memory 1 set - all ok so far. If I move the seat backwards/forwards, up/down and move the back up and the head rest to a new position then press the memory 1 button everything moves back as it should except the height - it doesn't change. I can move it back manually no problem and I'm sure it used to work fine. A minor irritation I know but anyone got any suggestions?

is it the same if you just move the height and then press the mem 1 button to send it back to its position?

Yes, if I raise or lower the seat and then press the 1 button I get the confirmation beep but nothing moves - I have to set it back manually.
