Morning All! Last weekend is the start of many I suspect, I dropped the gearbox oil, new filter and gasket and replaced with good oil and the lucs stuff. The oil that came out was red. There was a bit of carbon but no ferris material. I then replaced the thermostat and flushed the system, I then did a basic service with filters, fuel filter. I then moved on to replace the oil temp sensor for the gearbox? which wasn't in place because of an aftermarket cooler.
Its better on fuel, has more power it seems, the viscus fan even on cold does seem to be going at a rate of knots but it was replaced with a new rad not that long ago by the looks of it. Ill check it later today when it warms up a little. Is there a well used tested replacement for the fan if its locked?
I would just stick a couple of electric fans on and an inline temp sensor with a relay if I was going to DIY it.
Thanks for all the advice, its really appreciated, the oil replacing tutorial was very useful.
