P38 = dash removal - what state of lock/unlock best

Knowing the foibles of the p38 and Becm .. I want to remove dash to sort blend motors but am not sure what state its best to have the locks and doors open/closed when I disconnect battery so as not to create more issues after I reconnect it...

You should be able to lock and unlock them manually after the battery is disconnected. Not the boot obviously.

Does everything work as it should/standard?

Easy to do the blend motors without removing the dash

Always unlocked and doors open when disconnecting the battery. Same when reconnecting. If inside then put the front windows down first as well.
