Having watched the you tube clips of the Aussie Guy drowning his P38 two things spring to mind.
1. No urgency whatsoever to pull the vehicle out of the mud hole and
2. Here in the UK we are led to believe that the BeCM is a fragile, delicate box of witchcraft that must never be tampered with.
If you can fill it with stinking Aussie mud, wash it out with water, a brush and compressed air, it can't be that delicate surely. Fair play to em.

There is a company called brooklands/brookwells or similar that have Professionally raised there p38 with coils and extended shocks with v8 Engines ,big spaced wheels and tyres ect I saw and had a chat with them at Newbury auto jumble nice chaps they do offer a conversion , as for snorkel it's unlikely needed as air intake sits above engine on diesels where as defenders air intake is at the side and more likely to draw in water unless you plan to use it as a Submarine :) they have also raised the air intake for the v8 as well .... Corrected for complaints

Is there an English translation available for that? :)

The V8 air intake is low at the front of the engine compartment. I was out wth someone who drowned theirs by sucking water into the intake so it is very vulnerable on the P38.

Oh very true sorry was thinking of my diesel as for the intake but they have done it and raised the air intake

Love the whole rover. Love the colour, the alloys, the wheels, the roof rack. Job well done! I'd have one like that in a second if I could afford it! :)

I fitted RR-Evolutions tank guard today, it is really well made and very simple to fit, I bought them from Flo, (996Turbo) a great guy to do business with he even delivered my order virtually to the door, from France. Next I'm fitting the front diff guard and the steering guard and also the removable winch plate, which I also bought from him. After that i'm looking for a winch and a dual battery system, Its slow progress but its getting there.

Heres a pic of my inspiration. The roof rack is a safety devices Overlander..
