Hello all,

Back from holiday. Solar charger kept it all topped up.

Only one small panic when It failed to start and gave a gearbox error code - until I realised I hadn’t unplugged the charger.

unplugged and it fired up a dream.

finally got round to changing the rear bags today. Old ones were just a little worn!!
I once had a pair like that:rolleyes::rolleyes::D

Morning all.

Uneventful week and a bit. Drove 260miles round trip to the Billing off road show and managed 30.3mpg!

The vibration / rattle at 50mph plus when you very very lightly tough throttle or lift off still occurs. I'll check UJ's soon. Seems to be that it disapears when you apply more throttle which presumably takes the slack out the drivetrain.

The main issue however is driving to work this morning I was going up a longish uphill at a decent lick in sport mode, got to the top, slowed down (not suddenly) and turned sport mode off. 5 seconds later I get a traction control and ABS failuire light. The ABS pump is less than 10K miles old I belive.

Why would you suspect the pump? A sensor is more likely.

Check your minus cable on battery, mine were much corroded and gave abs/traction failure and such.

i also did my brake fluid, dont know if that helped the faultcode but it sure brakes better and no squeeshy pedal!

i dont know if your car has this, but my 97 p38 has a split in the middle of the length which grounds something before the chassis, that was were it was corodded

Cheers guys I’ll look into it.

Unlikely low battery. I’ve over 1000cca and it’s pretty new. Was 10min into a journey so unless the alternator is bad I’d hope it was pretty full

i fitted a new battery, even tho it didnt need it. It was just a bad ground, but the new battery sure is bigger and better, and way newer..

Check your ground cable good, and if it has electric tape around somewhere, take that off, most likely coroded.

If not it might be the TC ecu maybe?
I think the best step would be a search with the Nanocom in several categories.

When i read about Land rovers in general, i am convinced that it is most electrical gremlins and overdue maintenence schedule.. but ofcourse every car has their problems..

The problems can often be very dumb easy and overlooked..

Don't leave those UJs long. If they let go they can smash all sorts of things - like the gearbox.
