P38 dse overheating

It’s a u pipe. Could be the rubber pipe but sometimes the metal bit on engine rots out. @tarphenry did the one on his old engine, god knows how he found a replacement he must have made it

If you get the manifold off check the sensors aren’t leaking but doubt they’d let that much out. You should have plastic manifold so can probably get away without needing new manifold gaskets if it’s not been off too many times
 
Quick update it was the black hose as stated in picture been replaced and tested by my local 4x4 guy also found out why air con not working

Yes looks like condenser and fans and 1 pipe missing, the drier is still there though but I think I will have to change that as well
 
More update on over heating issue , been towing for a good 40 mins no overheating issues which is excellent news , but I've got a bloody gearbox fault now .
ABS light comes on briefly , gearbox kicks down and gearbox fault comes up it cut out once but managed to get it home but getting concerned gotta tow caravan in 2 weeks time for holiday
