Early one's didn't have a fan on the oil cooler. Maybe there is a fog light in the hole blocking the airflow.
 
I have changed and the gear box oil and filter if it heats up again when I walk the mountain road in second gear, or d
the road is good
and this happens only in summer
I go up in winter and I have no problem
probably need to use 4x4 on the mountain
 
and something else
air conditioning is turned on for a long time
when I park the car and move back
gas pedal goes to the end and the car has no power
why this happens
 
Hello!

My in tank fuel pump needs replacing on my diesel range and when i am trying to reverse out of my fairly steep drive when the engine is hot i put my foot down and have to wait for anything up to 10 seconds before the car will move, is this because of the fuel pump problem?

only if car wont rev ,check your oil by dropping a little out if its blackish burnt smelling its clutch pack ,if not electrical/solenoid /valve sticking etc
 
Sorry!

Forgot to mention that it's an automatic and has just had an oil change. It doesn't rev until it starts to move. Does that sound like the fuel pump problem as it seems much better when the diesel is cold and thick first thing in the morning?

It's easy enough to check the in tank pump is working.
 
I already know the pump is faulty, just wondered if that causes reversing problem? Also just remembered that there is a delay in the throttle when pulling away too, ie: foot on throttle,wait a couple of seconds and off we go.....fuel pump maybe?? :(
