p38 4.6 V8 1999

Hi Folks I need your help a couple of days ago I got a message on the dash,alarm fault so when we got home I got the nano com out and switched the alarm off no more message anyway today I had a couple of hours to spare so out came the Nanocom and I switched the alarm back on to try and see what the problem
could be well to cut a long story short the car won't start I am getting fault code P1668 serial link fault drive cycle A occurred 7times signal is to high .l have switched the alarm off and the immobiliser is disarmed I have entered the EKA code in via the nanocom and it reads instructing the becm to disarm but still the car won't start . I have done a search on here but can't see an answer ,help I am getting some stick for messing with the car .

Have you tried re-syncing the Engine ECU to the BeCM??

Thanks for the reply Saint ,yes I did try that .Its working now tell me if this makes any sense to you ,I had tried all the settings I could one at a time and nothing UNTILL I switched on Police mode and it started straight away ,switched it back to normal and its fine started it at least half a dozen times .I have to reset some of the settings tomorrow ie one touch windows I hope it makes more sense to you than it does to me, but at least I not getting any earache now she loves that car .

Now that's bizarre. Only person I can think of who might know what is going on there is @Rick-the-Pick.

I used the car today I got the Alarm fault message once ,anyone got a clue what that could be about ?.
