Total agree!!
Never knew such a bodge job could exist and I'm a real master at bodge jobs, but this is just a step too far!
Think that cable was for some kind of possible police light setup in the front grill.. It connects into the drivers dash with a switch... But then again.. I doubt police would have their connectors and switches wired like this.... (unless it's something to do with the LPG but I don't think it is)

 that is not police wiring i think that was done by a three year old

That is terrible wiring even for bodge standards :(.

Why does the system box say "for 4 cylinders"? thats a bit strange. Would expect some sort of bodge further in to fire 2 injectors together therefore wasting LPG. Unless there's 2 of them I don't know.

I would look around a bit more, but certainly consider buying a proper complete "under bonnet" setup they can be got secondhand at a reasonable price.

Or as was said take it back to the seller and rant:eek:.

Is that actually 2 x 4 cylinder drivers cable tired together?

ah yes could be.
But obviously not a dedicated system for the V8.

personally I would rip it all out and go with the option of a correct secondhand setup they can be got for a couple hundred.

6 letters in a straight line like it should be ;):D

Just don’t get a Freelander. Saint did that and we never saw him again. It was horrible, he started off saying it was the misses car, then we all had to play along for months not to hurt his feelings.
He's even got to keep moving around the country since he got the Gaylander.:D

At least it looks like the engine has had some work done on it or a recon dropped in as its all been painted up, will make it easier to see oil leeks:D
the more i look at at the twisted together wiring i think pull it all out and do it properly but god only knows what else you will find:(

I don't know about you lot...
Surely it must be a good all round install..
It's got the engineers 'PASSED' sticker of approval from Range Rover HQ

I think theres some sticker missing, the bit that say "its best".

Glad to see you still holding on to your sense of humor:).

Have you spoken to the peeps you brought it off yet?

I spoke to him and he said the sticker was torn a bit, should say 'BYPASSED'

Nah not going to bother speaking to them.. Considering what I paid for it, Im prepared for the journey ahead now..

And also, Considering I was told the lpg works 99% of the time, I can't really rely on what else I'm told. So far these past few days it's still worked 0% of the time, everytime.

Unless there's some kind of special sequence to get it working 99% of the time that I seem to be missing

Maybe the get-it-working sequence is re-do the whole bloody system then it'll work 99% of the time!!!
