cheers, but i dont think i have a screw there.. i believe mines head are broken off… but i’ll check it when im home and seal it.

fun fact, i didnt have any water on my driver side footwell now, but some on passenger side (lh driven btw) but that mightve been the water i didnt dry out before i fixed the leak, if i fixed it ;)

Time will tell :) It sure does rain and will do so for a week ;):( :p got all my wipers changed and ready anyhow! Just gotta remember closing my sunroof if i open it :D

Are sunroofs a pain in the ass in the winter? I’ve greased it up with lithium grease. Is the best thing to just keep it shut all winter? Cant say my sunroof is leaking tbh..

I am just thinking about all the snow melting etc, and if the sunroof motor can get destroyed trying to open it with frost on it..

Sunroof; I treat roof seals on the hard top convertible with Nextzett from Amzn (no RR currently, still in rehab after the last ) expensive but lasts a long time, has stopped internal drips. Grease gets crudded up with dirt so I try to avoid. I wouldn't even think about opening it in freezing conditions, not likely to end well o_O

make sure you have the manual key first and that it works. That way you atleast have a chance of being able to shut it if something happens.
If your carpets are wet they will take a very long time to dry out the insulation underneath can hold litres. i put an old towel under the carpet during the night then dried it out in the day - took a few weeks.

Well this was sad. Its still leaking the same amount. (abit less on driverside maybe)
Sounds like i must build up motivation for making a silicon pudding on top of the screw heads on both sides... (raining insane amounts this week)

Just that 1 particular screw ay? Not the ones above?

cheers

Yup, as pictured. This is the only screw ole that bypasses the filter cover and leads into the air duct. If the screw head is also busted off its even more likely. Fingers crossed it works.

Aren't there a couple of screws in the bottom of the filter housing? May need taking out and giving a dose of silicone.

Cover screws Al or summert else?

Erm... has heater o-rings been checked? No smell of antifreeze on carpets, coolant loss etc?

Fingers crossed :) Heading to the store to buy some more silicone, and some extra stuff..

Theres 2 bolts beneath my filter housing, aswell as 3 or 4 above. Then theres one more plastic trim over theese bolts above the filter housing. And theres 2 screws on the upperside and 1 on the lower. Unfortunaly one of my above does not have its screwhead (im talking about the trim on the side of the main scuttle panel) and, how were there leaves inside my old pollen filters? The only possible way i assume is because i didnt have the «plenum» foam? (Which is now fixed)

And, thank you guys. So fast replies :)

heater orings done for 2 months ago, the surroundings of the pipes are all dry now, as theyve been for a while.

And the coolant doesnt drain.
By the way, geeez. I lost so much coolant due to my heater o rings its insane. Had to fill it up almost twice a week with half a liter almost.

It’s not running down the inside of the windscreen rubber is it
Only when i open the doors.

I've seen a small pool of water inside my filter housing tho, so i hope and think thats my only leak.

Never had plenum foam, no leaks. Your description sounds a lot of water for a screw head or two.

I've heard the foam is mainly to prevent leaves etc to block the drains in the panel? But also that the foam absorbs water, and minimizes water coming in?
Unsure, but i got the impression that its important. Better to have, than not ay? I'm just waiting for winter! Wonder how my car behaves in the winter.. If its a bitch to start or nay :D Gotta have some fun in the snow
