Maybe it needs a shared one-way trailer rental. First one picks up a car & starts south. Remove some bits & pass on to next person…… and so on.

Two 38's but no trailer, 1000€ or more round trip, no entitlement on my license to tow a braked trailer and the need of 4k roof tiles. As much as I'd like the adventure of it, I can't justify the costs at this point

That's a novel idea, though the logistics have to be considered or trailer 'returnee' might be lumbered with excessive mileage.
A rental outfit with multiple locations to enable pick-up at one & drop-off at another ?

I'll do a pic tomorrow but they are the about150mm x 100mm panels behind which lurk the connectors for trailer wiring. Not fussed about colour as I can paint them.
