Hi all,
Here's some one off defender seats I am building at the minute. The frames are now ready for a quick lick of paint then foam and heater elements & re-trim. (cant decide on what colours, materials to do just quite yet)

They still retain the original mounting points so will bolt straight in, pop out seat (new seat foam will be slightly shaped to match the back) original backrest adjuster.
What you think? Should we make more?

I also did some work on an expedition 110 vehicle that was recentley in morocco for a month. We built the tent for the pop up roof, seatcovers and cubby and some other bits and bobs for the rear. The thread is on here somewhere in the introduce yourself section. Pleased to say it all went well and the complete conversion from the guys I made it for will be available very soon. Will post some pics of there trip soon

Discopol why does it smell like spam coming?? Yes I do have a business but not once refered to or directed anyone to my business name etc in any post.
I myself own a 90 and thought it would be nice to share pics etc of any Landrover Work I do for myself or others so people can view pics, discuss and share opinoins. It is a Landrover forum or am i missing something?

No dofferent to pressbrake or others showing work done at the moment chill Winston!! have a break have a Kit Kat.

I would like to see the seats and the end results mate you will never sell them to me unless super super cheap but am interested in how they come out

im also interested to see how they come out, id be even more interested if there was a diy kit for them, my seats need a refurb anyway (another roundtuit) an upgrade and refurb would be very tempting, dont wanna lose the fender bases as i use the under seat box for storage.

I'm also interested. Have a walking foot machine here but not used in anger on any seats yet. Look forward to following progress.

Then nicking your ideas and making something much better.:) Ta!

You are correct about not mentioning your business name but I rekon you are spamming and maybe hoping that peeps will message you so you can stay under the radar..

The sponsors pay to advertise

Hi all - big lover of Landrovers both new and old and currently in the market for a 110 County SW.
Ive just been undertaking some interior work on Landrover's recently so thought i'd share some pics with you of the latest vehicles we worked on one of which is currently on expedition in Morocco with another 110. We did some Heavy Duty Front Seat Covers (with matching cubby box), Rear Cushions for seating and matress for the bed plus we even made the tent! The roof conversion was a bespoke one off (much cheaper than premade conversions)
The second defender we kitted out a landyzone member's 90 with a Black Suede Headliner with matching sun visors.
Thanks for taking a look hope you enjoy the pictures. Will post more about the roof conversions provided the first one makes it back from Morocco safely and intact ;)

Thanks :)
Will have more updates on how the roof tent conversion was when the vehicle is back from Morocco.
First time we have attempted making a rooftent but it turned out ok. Just hope it was ok out in the field plus it will be a good test for our heavy duty seat covers we also make and fitted.

The suede headliner looks nice fitted back into the customers (black) defender xs will try and get some pics up of it fitted back in.(we also had to do the sunvisors in black suede as cant seem to track any original black sunvisors down?? and it looked odd with the original white ones

Ratty i'm not here to get any business. I do quite ok for business thanks and I work mainly on high end cars not Defenders. I am a Landrover Enthusiast myself currentley owning a defender 90 and looking to buy a 110csw.
The pictures/posts ive posted are to share with other people not to try and get any business from it. The previous post by me was a joint project I did with a friend on his 110.
If I had of wrote 'Hi, does anyone want to buy these for £xxx we make and sell them blah blah' but i havnt.
These seats will be for my own 110 project when I get it was just seeing what people thought and any thoughts on what we I should trim them in?

Am I wrong in saying forums are for enthusiasts to share story's,pictures and problems and discuss them with others?
Are enthusiasts who happen to own a business not p allowed to post?

I respect that forums have sponsors as I sponsor 1 myself hence the reason i'm not advertising my business on here.Sponsors pay to advertise products and services with prices etc. This is not an advert?
If people want to do the same to some seats thats fine hoefully this will help them make their mind up and build there own.

Not here to have keyboard arguments with Forum Police who obviously have nothing better to do.
I'm here to share ideas, pictures and info etc with other enthusiasts whether thats work on my own vehicle or customers vehicles and discuss/talk. Obvioulsy from some of the above posts by other's and responses on my previous post thats what there here for too

If it wernt for the snide comment by Discopol there wouldnt be an issue.

I have highlighted the part of the post that first raised suspicions with me.

Yes but Pressbrake is a paid up sponsor

Nothing snide about it, it wasnt disguised or underhand I simply wrote what i believe to be the true intentions of your post, but you are obviously playing forum police and telling me I cant say certain things relating to the posts of a very new member that starts out with something that sounds extremely like spam to me, been here long enough to have seen this done many times, and in all honesty a lot more subtly than you are trying to do it.

simply put Chris chill out and Spam off.
The username isn't at all intended as any form of information or subtle advertising then?

What difference does it make if I choose to use part of my business name as my user name if people want to be nosey and look into that further then so be it thats there choice. The post was in no way an advert.

I was clearly asking people's opinions and thoughts for some feedback is that not allowed here on a forum?

As stated before I do own my own Defender and have also owned other models in the past and not here posting every other day SPAMMING as you call it.

What your saying is just because I own my own business I cant share my love of LANDROVERS by posting pics and info, with other LANDROVER lovers because it's what ive done in/at work??
Does it look anything remotely like an advert for a pair of seats?

Are you for real?

Like I said before not here to have petty arguments with wanabe forum police scanning my whole posts picking out where I said we and I (who care's)
Just here to share some pics and info of MY Defender seat build with others and get some feedback as to what others think of them. There's always one person with nothing better to do than put bull:censored: comments on posts their not even remotley interested in. Others obviously like to see the pics and discuss things and you were obvioulsy lost and looking in the wrong section of the forum :bored:

pick your dummy up. if you'd bothered to spend as much time getting a feel foir the forum. As you have spent on putting your advert together. you'd have realised that, A/ spammers get short shrift. B/ we don't take any prisoners, and C/ peeps all ways get told where the door is of they act like cocks. Now wind ya neck in and pick ya dummy up. apologise for spamming and move on..

Oh qnd Ratty is the forum Police.. AKA moderator.

Agreed.

Shut the f&*k up and lose your attitude ya tit. If you dont like it you dont have to come back, close the door on the way out.

I didnt care that you posted "we" this and "us" that, but the way your carrying on shows your punting for business in my eyes.

Take your wrist slap and join in with the rest of the forum. :)

No one likes a stroppy noob, its old hat and boring. :p

Oh and :welcome2: to landyzone.

They look dead uncomfy, that looks like the standard defender arse crippling seat with cobra backs!
Just buy ya self a pair of Le Mans ;)

The forum police comment was based at discopol.
If Discopol hadnt made the first comment no attention would be drawn to my 'business' or this post
Like I said im here to share pics and info not ply for so called business.
As stated before I do quite well in that dept thanks and not on LandRovers and I dont need to dream up these so called adverts im supposedly posting.

I posted the pics on my own thread to share with others, Others obviously appreciate seeing the pics as proven and we obviously have some people on here with nothing better to do, that would rather pick on the newboy and single him out because he owns his own buisness as well as being a Landrover enthusiast himself and only just joined the forum.
If your not interested in the thread or have nothin nice to say, dont say anthing.
SIMPLES!

Hahaha fu**ing pathetic and rather comical if you ask me! You must lead sad sad lives!

Lets ask Paddock Spares if they have a problem with my post?
Ye thats right they would probably laugh at you!

Apologies to the guys that actually wanted to look at the seats and how they will turn out and thanks to the cocks that are just here to cause an argumnet

Forgotten poppy - I was planning to build up some new defender foam bases to suit the back

Big Si- How did you get on with mounting the smart car seats? Did you have to make new mountings for the runners?
I tried to mount some buckets in my 90. They were only cheap import seats and turned into a nightmare to fit and I would loose access to under the seats hence the reason I decided to make these using the buckets I bought and an old set of defender seats.

I had em from vilguy, they are on one inch box section and bolted straight in, i just moved the holes over 25mm for a bit more elbow room. As for access its a bit awkward but in fitting battery posts in the side of the seatbox just to make charging and jumping easier. Vilguys the man to speak to when fitting these as hes done a few.

I haven't altered your posts/threads in any way because people may be interested.

Wind yer neck in and take what I have said as a warning shot across yer bow.

An Anderson connector can be a good idea to help with jump starting if seat access is made difficult due to new seats.
