make sure its level and cold when checking im sure you know that i have noticed with such a long sump a slight angle can throw it out by miles are you a 10/40 oil man ??
Now I've decided to monitor my fuel usage I'm going to do a full tank in sports mode just to see the differance what do you lot think it will be?????I think I was getting about from brim 440 ish per tank auto, our manuel does about 480 ish ..
Can you point me to some? Don't want to buy duff ones off ebay, Island 4x4 doesn't have them (at least nothing shows up under the P38 section). Britpart does, but others have questioned their quality.
Could you give me a pointer to a source? How many do I need? I know that'll sound really daft and I assume it's 4, but I saw something the other day that said "Number 6 injector" and something else saying "injectors: 5 required". So thought I best ask...

Most gauges sit half way on the rr from what i gather,if your is so low I do wonder if the t stat is missing or stuck open thus causing a colder running engine just a thought , but I wouldn't belive that computer work it out yourself or join fuellyJust brimmed it again. This time a week of short journeys. It hasn't seen a motorway or a horsebox and it managed 16.7mpg (computer read 18 this time). So it seems to perform better on a run, even when towing. When I was towing, the temp gauge read half. It's only ever done that towing. It never gets passed a third on a long run not towing and on short journeys it barley moves the needle

Can you take the stat out to test it in a pan of hot water without draining the coolant? I've looked in RAVE and it gives the procedure for replacing it but says nothing about dropping the coolant first.
If you can, I'll take it out and test it. If you have to drain it first or lose a lot, I'll wait until I have a replacement stat and some antifreeze.
