P38A Oh S###..I think I've bought another one.

It is possible to do the pipes in one piece with the tank in place.
Not easy....
Feed it in from the front right wheel arch down the chassis and out if the rear right wheel arch.
As it comes out start to bend and feed it across the cross member and then leave it sticking out enough to form the drop to the bracket for the body hose.
Then,..... Form and reclip backwards towards the front.
Easier said than done I will say again but it is doable.
I refused to have another joint other than the factory below the drivers fire wall.:cool:
Some clips will brake but that's were cable ties come in very handy.
I also fitted some rubber hose onto the pipe before feeding it across so the places it will inevitably touch can be protected.
Remember, you won't have the access to perfectly match it!

You may need a new filler pipe to tank connector pipe, it was badly perished on mine.

No joint below the drivers fire wall that I remember, straight into the brake modulator.

I think, you are better off pulling tank and replacing. If you put joins either side you won't need to drop tank next time, but next time will be sooner the more joins you have :eek:

You are not allowed 2 cars on the same plate, the VIN will be different between the 2 cars. I'd bet that the insurance wouldn't pay if the details didn't match.

i'd redo the lines front to back tbh

Also magaged to acquire 2 calipers off of Paddocks for £20 each

And 2 front ones for £60 each which wasn't too bad..

Mine were also a ball of rot..

Just seen these on their website. What quality are they for that price..??
Might have to do rather than reseals. But even the kits are cheap..

They are rather good quaility..

Mine have been sat out in the elements and don't have a spec of rust on them.

Even after spending 3 months covered in horse pish and cow shyte ;)

Seals are good too.

Looking into the engine bay and left.
Unless there has been a full pipe fitted to yours? which would make better sense as there is then no join at all.;)

So, I've checked and you are absolutely correct about the joints, not in plain view on RHD with the brake modulator assembly in the way but easy to see on LHD and there you have the reason for the joints, from the joint to the modulator the pipe is different LHD to RHD so a joint makes sense as only the last bit of pipe needs to be changed.
I sleeved my new brake pipe in nylon air line and sealed the ends of the nylon with silicon.
