Always lots of trattor boys on the Freelander forum. They only come on here cuz it makes them feel just as impressive as the vehicles they pretend to own. ****in Prius driver more like? Wouldn’t surprise me.

As for those who really do suffer with the shortfalls of trattor ownership, nuff respect to you. Very few would put up with such a noisy uncomfortable ride. When ever I see one I always turn off my Freelander’s heater as a mark of respect.
Well havin' had one of them there wotsits.. ah'm sure ah can post in here if ah feel like it;) Lookin' at yer avatar, ah think my one looked that clean when ah furst bought it. after that ye'd be lucky if the rain washed it!

:D

**** me if I owned a micra i'd be more capable than a Freelander driver :D:D:D
Thats a change then. Just need the pic's to prove it.

Re the sidesteps. I use them when washing the car, I stand on them to do the front part of the roof and then move backwards to do the middle of the roof, from the steps I step on the rearwheels to do the back of the roof. Thus I guess I make good use of these....(Guess 3 or 4 times a year, but I intend to do that more often from now on.):D

I used to do that also but since removing the steps, I just use the roof rails to pull myself up onto the wheels. Just as easy imo.

coz theres a difference between non freelander owners and ex freelander owners?

its called knowledge:rolleyes:

If my assumption that this is a KV6 block is correct I guess you must have regretted many times already your decision of buying the car with that engine and not with a Td4 (or L-diesel) ??

Yes, for you, but not when you're 69, then every step in-between is a huge help ........;):D:D:D:D:D

I always get a second glance off road from others. Don't know why they don't expect Freelanders to be off road. They're 4x4's after all. Had mud spashed over the roof before, but having to clean it everytime is becoming a bit of a bore. Hence not going so mad these days. Engine bay is a sod to clean too. The risk to bearing failure etc is always at the back of me mind. They do look nice with a bit of mud on them. Well, anything looks nice compared to a rusty ol tratter. :)

The two cars of the organisers of that roadbook last sunday are on the picture (taken "after" the rb) below, the one on the left is supposed to be Giverney Green and the right one Stornoway Grey.:D:D:D:D

Check the turbo breather filter for mud too ;)

Today I tried out that new curved pressurewasher lance and it works very well, the upside of the front suspension arms which I couldn't clean with the straight lance were now cleaned ok, also the curved plastic plate in the back of the car beneath the bumper I've done, where I thought that I did a rather decent job on monday I got several extra kilo's of mud removed today.:D Also on monday I drove on two ramps at the same side of the car so that I could more or less clean the underside, after lifting up one side I had to do it on the other side too, now with this curved lance no longer necessary to do so in order to clean the undercarriage of the car, I can from the side reach beyond the half of the car, with a strong vertical jet which means that going up and down alongside the car, once per side, with the jet spraying vertically the whole car is cleaned without having to hassle with ramps etc. Much and much easier now. All you have to do is bend through the knees and spray, where on monday I laid flat on the ground in the street (was a funny sight though) with a result half of today.
