OBD2 socket problems

Hi All
my code reader used to work when plugging it in to the OBD2 socket, now for some reason it comes up with link error any ideas?

Probably damp/wet/corroded pins, take a look in good light and with a torch, clean n dry and try again!

also check the fuse under the bonnet. cant remember the number but its the same as the alarm siren fuse.

Thanks for the replies fellas I have had a good look at the plug end by dismantling the glove box kick plate and all looks good there,I shall check the fuses today,

Quick update!
Fuse ok so will check the other two connections in the loom and go from there.

also check the plug under the seat,and the plugs behind the inertia switch panel could be corroded there.pat.
