Further to Pauls info regarding Roych. The present TRO is on until May 3rd. It's a shame the run misses it by a week :-( but there are more rocky bits in the Peak, and they are on at least on one or more of the planned routes so don't despair too much.
I'm leading the non-scratchy route and there are still some good lanes on it but not too tight. Bear in mind that I can't control anyones speed or steering. I also have no power over the spring growth of bushes/trees. I cannot guarantee no scratches, but the tightest lanes have been avoided.
Looking forward to seeing you all in two weeks :)

Scratchy is fine, my disco has more pinstripes than your average city slicker , but rip-the-bottom-off-break lights-or-damage-body-panels is more of an issue. So when I said "scratchy" in my preferences, have I just signed up for Disco armageddon?

Very few of the lanes in the peaks are Extreme body breakers, even Chapel and Roych, though Hollinsclough might be, depending upon direction you try them and prevailing weather. Many are scratchy and technical without being panel beaters unless you're a complete numpty .. I'll probably be leading a scratchy and technical/tight group, but we've still to discuss the finer points of groupings.

If anyone fancies the extreme runs, let us know, there are a couple of drivers (at least) who would be happy to lead. Frankly this weekend is more about happily getting many more people round some fantastic lanes with breath-taking views and being able to enjoy them without too much worry .. and to meet different LZers, get ****ed and enjoy the area and the company!!

It ain't a Pay 'n Play day ... ;)

ooh , you've made me feel much happier , i'm looking forward to the views and company , without too many thrills and spills , we fitted the steering guard and front diff guard yesterday ( rear diff guard looking a bit more difficult and tight? any pearls of wisdom gratefully received :) So other than turning Betsy into a totally armored vehicle , we're ready ..;)

I've skipped about 50 pages, but, assuming everything was as planned last time I read it all and assuming I'm still leading a group... can someone PM or email me the route? Just so I can see where we are going, etc.

Email address is [email protected]
(before you all point out i've published my email address on a public forum... i know... meh.)

Bump is all welded up now... although could do with a wheel bearing changing, snorkel currently isn't fitted, but, as this is Derbyshire I don't see that being an issue. Roll bar also not fitted... but... only ever got as far as on my side... so hoping i'll be ok ;)

I'll stick me dummy back in then and stop flapping :baby: :crazy_driver:

No dummy, no flapping, no problem, genuine concern and question as far as I'm concerned.

Looking back on the recent posts I made I can see why you might think it's gonna be a gruelling slog .. it isn't, I write that way and when I go laning I tend to go for more extreme lanes, but this is a different kettle of fish.

A couple of the more picturesque lanes we're going to be doing, with some of the finest views, aren't even green lanes as such, they're unclassified roads .. albeit single-track and twisty turny, uppy downy, but definitely not 'real' green lanes!!!! We might even stop by an old cave/mine and walk inside a little way, if there's time, for tea ... ;)

There's always time for tea ...
