I think I need to change torque convertor as it's using the same oil as the gearbox, either that or strip it down..
Ideally I can get hold of bellhousing, autobox, torque convertor and transfer box as one unit or are they easy to split? Apologies if it's a daft question I'm not too clued up on this as you may 'av gathered!

They're easy to split, the transfer box comes the gear box with about 6/7 pins plus prop-shafts. The gear-box has quite a few about 18 I think, when you split it from the engine the torque converter will stay on the plate on the engine. Also you won't need a torque converter as you wont of burnt it out. Unless you thrashed it with the wheels stuck, and as you still have drive it will be fine. Maybe take it off and drain the oil out as it can't be opened, the bell-housing you already have if your having the gearbox from another engine model. hope this helps oh and also the ZF 22 HP gear box is fitted in load of cars so maybe you could widen your search. (If that is the right gearbox fitted) regards Steve

Thanks Steve, a lot of help. Have seen an auto box which is apparently the same as mine which comes with torque convertor. I've been told it's in good working order although will come with no warranty :(
if I get this one, sounds like I can keep my original bellhousing and transfer box, match it all up and hope for the best!
