Hi I have a Landrover disco 3

And the issue I’m having is when I turn left when I travel alittle quick I get the traction light flashing at me and soon as I stop turning it goes off but it only does it at speed and going left now my thoughts are it’s the abs sensor on the drivers side front ??

Any other thoughts at all ?

Any other thoughts at

Make sure the tyres are at the correct pressure first.

But it sounds like the steering angle sensor has come adrift from the column, which is pretty common, but easily fixed with a careful dab of CA glue. ;)

Yeah I did make sure that to be fair I got them all done yesterday at the garage and he did put air in them all to be fair

oh really hmmm would that show up on a diagnostic tool at all ??

It's a weekly check, or should be, like topping the the screen wash, checking the coolant and oil levels. ;)

It might show up as an inconsistent reading on the a live steering angle data.
It's a pretty easy fix though with a dab of CA glue, which is much cheaper than replacing the column sensor.

Any ideas how to do it lol I have no idea - don’t mind travelling if you can do it for beer tokens ???

hi

have u got ur own diagnostics reader plse and can certainly help in how to check ur steering wheel angle sensor as mentioned

A thought on fuelling.
What is the LPG situation like where you live, i.e. is it easily and regularly available?
Cos my V8 disco 1 has a pro fitted system with 4 tanks and a smaller petrol tank, which cheapens the consumption, BUT there are far fewer places flogging LPG now.:mad::mad:
You may be lucky and pick up the kit secondhand. I bought mine for £1250 a few years ago with a manual Disco 1 thrown in for free!;)
It is far cleaner than either petrol or diesel, which must be why the govt isn't promoting it. Tw@ts:(

So been in the garage and they can see no faults at all showing up !! I asked them to replace the front abs sensor anyway which they have and still got the same issue - might be worth me doing this angle sensor thing but where or how do I do the glue what am I sticking together etc ?

It's the steering angle sensor gone out of alignment, as suggested in the first couple of posts on this thread, nothing to do with the ABS sensors.

I was only going by reading lots that’s all that suggested abs sensor and the steering angle - so I need to try and see if I can do it if not will somewhere do it ?
