Front left 460mm, front right 470mm, rear left 465mm, rear right 470mm,,,, we cleared all the codes but I’ve not had them cleared since I changed the centre valve block we did try to calibrate it but it kept saying couldn’t do it because couldn’t contact the left front sensor,,, but since the centre valve block change it’s running as it should fault light decides to come on when it feels like it and when it does it no longer drops to the bump stops but if I flick the switch to change ride height to off road or access it moves about an inch and says normal height only,,, hope this info helps as I’m new to all this cheers for you input so far much appreciated
Hows the wiring?

Hi

Many thks for the info and indeed can see there out, fronts should be 466mm , rears 485 mm in normal ride height , however cant remember if its 5 or 10% margin of error, ill double check

So indeed as mentioned if u would next please check all the height sensor wiring going back a good 6-8” inches to ensure nothing is broken or bad connections, etc including the pin

with the sensors u get a 5vdc voltage to each sensor and then varying Vdc back to the suspension ecu , so if the signal doesn’t get back to the ecu it can’t see it so will show and error and fail a re calibration, plus an earth also connects to the height sensors

So after visually checking the looms , can then either test them with a multimeter or scanner via its live data setting

Hopefully that’s also useful to u

Hi

Only talking about the height sensor wiring , have to go 6 to 8 inches back from the height sensor connector , checking all the pins as well

With the scanner plugged in and watching the live data , raise and lower the suspension and u should see the figures changes
, not the 5 volt supply on each sensor but the signal wire on each height sensor shown in volts

Would also be handy to rescan it , then if a fault light comes up that should log a fault code in the scanner , that should then give u an indication of what’s wrong

Hope that’s also useful

Onestly m8 I press the button to raise and it moves for about a millisecond and stops boom fault code on,,, it’s throws different codes like the first time it was left ride height sensor changed that then it was front valve block changed that then it was rear sensor changed that and a thought well av changed 2 out the 3 blocks I might as well do 3rd one and like a say it’s seemed to have sorted it not dropping

Seems that you ruled out the sensor so if you keep getting a sensor code the problem is most likely in the connector cos those are common failure hence the big interest for YMQ503220

What can I do then bud should I replace the wiring to the front left sensor

I’m gunner buy the repair kit and change the actual plug to the sensor it’s always said on the computer it’s been the fault so it can’t hurt can it do you know of anywhere that does a genuine one please bro

Hi mate

Plus 1 with regards to what @sierrafery mentions with regards to part number YMQ503220

There’s also other connectors behind the front passenger side wheel arch liner

Ur see 3 x connectors in a row, it’s the middle one ur looking for , the wires can break / fray near the connector itself, this is an example picture as if u look at the bottom picture ur see one has broken

Ur more than likely have to carefully peel some of the outer conduit back , so from that left height height sensor it then runs into that middle connector behind the liner and onto the suspension’s ecu

Hope this also helps u

Will do defo I’ve ordered my part from famous four it comes t moz so al fit it t moz after work and put an update on here to let everyone know,,, btw you’ve all been great as I’m new to this sort of stuff I appreciate it massively

Ur so welcome , just thought checking behind the front nearside wheel arch liner would be another place to look seeing the front height sensor wiring also goes through that centre connector

Indeed plse let us know how u get on and also great pleasure to help where possible

Hi buddy well av replaced the wires and still no joy it’s saying something about the front left corner every part of it is brand new so I have no idea what to try next the only thing is the module under the drivers side footwell a think it’s located apart from that I’ve tried everything this is what the code reader said last night

Massive update so lads I’ve had my m8 round this evening and he said come on let’s check all the wiring we pulled off the front bumper nothing wrong under there the we took out the passenger inner wheel arch cos I’d said about you beautiful lot saying check the wires thoroughly we checked all visible wires all good then I told my m8 that some wires ran under the aircon pipes we then gently bent them out of the way for more room and low and behold 3 wires had snapped off where they had been what we think rubbing on the bracket landrover out the plugs to bad design if you ask me we then got out the wiring back together kit joined said wires back together and hey presto fired it up and she now goes off road mode normal height and access mode no problem back to her former glory lol,,,, I would like to thank everyone for all your help in assisting me and pointing me in the right direction I hope this info helps other people who have or are having the same problems as me

That’s great it’s sorted

Would u be so kind to let us know what ac pipes those wires were under plse

Only ones I remember was as wires went to the back unless u may have a pic plse including a wide shot plse

Thks and so pleased it’s resolved
