Newbie from Yorkshire - after advice for my First Serious Offroader !!

Hey Guys,

Well long time lurker, finally decided to jump in and join the forum.

Looking to buy either a Discovery Series I/II for a off roader base

Little brother has a TD5, which he has stated to modify, headed out with him and got the bug!!!

Looking at a 300TDI or a V8 locally at the moment

After advice from the group.

Welcome,
I'm biased but I'd go for a V8 LPG manual, mines got under slung tanks, but if you're gonna do serious off-roading get tank in boot, bags of power and sound great.MPG not so fantastic but gas helps @ present paying £0.66 ltr also got lpg pump so can use gas bottles as we'll , 47kg bottle has about 92 ltrs (£53) or carry smaller ones but of course inform Tax people if using pump

Cheers for that, currently looking at a V8 and a 300Tdi

V8 was a dog... and no history with the engine and chassis looked like swiss cheese, the 300Tdi is a later model and looks like its been looked after..
