Newbie confused

Hillo , new 2 landies an jus got my 1st , an old rr , stupid question 2 get me started .
battery goes flat , u jump start the car , alternator recharges the battery , ergo the alternator is doin its job an not faulty cos when i turn her of she starts again .
therefore i guess a fault lies elswhere in the car
i did put another battery on her 2 .
Other than burnin it which seems 2 b a favorite of the less educated , any better ideas

If the other battery had the same problem then it would suggest that something is discharging the battery when the engine is off.

Not a R/R person so don't know what the common faults are, but, you could always put a multimeter in SERIES with the + wire of the battery and monitor the current draw when the engine is off. If it's high then you could start pulling fuses, 1 at a time and see what stops the current draw and, ergo, found your problem.
