so i bought a 90. my friend said they are good. i collected it yesterday. it has a fresh coat of paint so looks pretty. i have ordered a 2 inch lift kit, a winch, a roof rack, bucket seats with harnesses, a snorkel, diff guards and some big wheels. is there anything else i need to go off roading? i think i may buy an external cage as i'm woried about scratching my paint.

First off it depends what you want to use your vehicle for. Is it a daily driver, play thing, work vehicle etc?

Without wanting to sound patronising can I ask you to explain why you have bought each the bits and what you feel they will acheive?

Many people think that you need to spend thousands on a landy to take it offroad. The reality is that they are ready to go straight from the factory.

If you have a shiny vehicle that you don't want to get scratched, the only real solution is not to take it offroad. Sounds harsh but no matter how hard you try to avoid the scratchy stuff, It'll still find a way to penetrate yer paint.

Dont be put off chap, there is a lot off good stuff here, you just got off on wrong foot with a of a bit harsh intro. Like I said, select the good stuff and folk and let the stuff you dont like just go past you.

this is a landrover site, dont ask for advice, you will get slagged to the ground just before nobody helps you mate

Advice will be given, most of it good...but this isnt a ****ing contest or show us yer dick evening...most lz members are here to exchange advice/ideas. This idea that you can buy all the toys and suddenly be on your way to Dakar will be treated with the contempt it deserves.
