You just need to spend a little time putting a few layers of primer on the surfaces that show, rubbing down in between coats. Mine's pretty much mirror flat.Did the same with the tub cappings.
Yes could not believe it myself, A bloke flogging a rolling chassis on *bay had it leaning on the Engine so asked if it was for sale. But no zinc is going on the bulkhead, It will be prepped painted and the cavity wax injected, Not Knocking Zinc but I don't like the paint finish over it.
Ring all the landy places you know to see if they have any chassis for sale we did for our 90 and we got a brand new Richards chassis from a landy place in yorks can't remember the name but we got it for £300 cheaper than Richards was selling them for, Richards then had a 10 week waiting time its 15 weeks now we collected it our self's with a big van, the 2a chassis we bought from Richards we was quoted 10 weeks but ended up waiting 15 weeks for it and collected it 4 weeks ago
Think I found a Unicorn Yesterday !
Collected a brand new unused 300tdi Bulkhead today, Just waiting for the chassis order to be sorted Monday and things should start moving.
+1Looking good. Unless the track rod ends are perfect, now's the time to change them. Same with the swivel pins and bearings if you have the time.
