Oooh someone pm'd me channel searched window channel and I think I've found the part! It's looks something like. No idea how they come out though haha
Only put them on temporally, if you look closely you will see where the previous owner used non stainless screws to fix them and the rust has run. They will be painted in Santorini Black 2K paint as soon as I can get them prepped.Looks beautiful... have you painted the headlight surrounds? If so what did you use?
I'm thinking of replacing mine as they are a bit faded and crusty and I was going to paint them as they will look better and be easier to maintain than the rough plastic... I will be watching to see how you do yours.Only put them on temporally, if you look closely you will see where the previous owner used non stainless screws to fix them and the rust has run. I've heard the cheap plastic ones end up being expensive plastic ones for not taking paint, or it coming off and obviously gets damaged easier as fibreglassPicky, picky. Not too many genuine Puma bonnets here in Ireland And, for those of us who are on pensions, cheep plastic is just the job.
Nothing wrong with the glass bonnets, they just need more care when painting due to the moulding process. They are not much cheaper than genuine when all the preperation work has gone into them. But its anyone's guess which will look best for the longest amount of time
Don't know about td5 as mine is 200tdi
