You guys should not be tuning without a boost gauge and an EGT gauge. I am awaiting a bunch of gauges including an Innovate EGT gauge, boost gauge, electric fuel pressure gauge amongst oil temp, oil pressure, etc.

Without these you are guessing all the time and could cause more problems and damage.

urgh too much info from the engine, itll never get looked it

It can save you I. The long run, I ant tell you the amount of times even stock gauges saved me.

I always have a habit of looking at the dash especially when running the engines hard.

I used to have a euro performance shop up to lately in Canada and I raced so kinda in my system. :D I intend to tune my 300 and 200 for optimum performance and later will experiment with other turbos etc.

Cheers and nice build.

oh btw, you are running derv on the engine that is crap top end aren't you?

i'd stick a tank in and see how it goes.

ive just flushed out the diaphragm plunger bit wotsit with brake cleaner as there was a tiny bit of crud at the bottom. Still seemed to seat down at the bottom but hey every little bit helps!

also found the source of my foot getting wet when it rains - 2 holes in the bulkhead just above the accelerator. No idea what they were for but they are blanked off now.

ohhh just had a right mare'

started to fit my challenge rims and blow the valve core out so i had to rob a valve from an old rim

On the way home it had stripped another drive member *raaahhh* so i thought oh whilst im there ill sort the wheel bearing out...

Found the stub axle was really badly flared and the thread badly damaged so just spent the last 3 hours in the rain trying to sort that. Got it fixed eventually but im knackered now.

Oh and the circlip on the end of the driveshaft was damaged so skinned my knuckles trying to get the fecker off.

15!!! who do you think i am, lord of the frickin manor

We only have *counting on fingers* .....6!

Ssangyongs got an injector problem

Challene rim fitted

well i had the 10 round a local expert last night, who was stumped with it. He did say it goes very well for an old 110 but I dont think so. It used to be way better.

Although he did turn down the boost and upped the fuelling and now its even worse! haha (think ill be reversing that tonight!)

The amount of grey diesel smoke being chucked out is making think the injectors are perhaps knackered. So Im going to strip them and rebuild them.

I bought a diesel compression tester last night as well as i thought it would be handy to see whats going on with it. :)

This drive member stripping seems to be a common problem. Have you tried those halfshafts where the drive flange is forged onto the ends rather than a separate piece?

I didnt know you could get them.

However, the drive member is the designed weak link so in the event of something having to snap, its at least easy to fit :)

I think the wheel bearing being loose wouldnt have helped as the drive member would have been wobbling on the spline and rubbing it to bits.
