Woohoo....

The circuit and software are working on the bench......

Just need to wait for the external bits.
:D

I`m ok with basic electrickery, not specialised stuff.
got a tumble dryer upside down in my front room trying to find out why when you plug it in it goes HUMMMMM loudly.
bought it for £20 with the wording "wires need repacing"
there all connected but wrongly

oh well, I`ll think of it as my christmas turkey..lol

It's strange when you get things like that. That would suggest that someone who doesn't know what they are doing has been at it already. Tumble driers are actually quite simple inside so it shouldn't be too difficult. You should have a temperature control which simply controls the heater, a timer which clocks down. Both of these are likely to be pretty much self contained. Then there is the motor itself and probably a couple of thermostats, door open sensors, etc Problem comes knowing how it should go together if someone else took it apart first. Unless you are fixing that particular model on a regular basis or have a thorough understanding of the machines in general you could end up having a machine that appears to work but the heater isn't being controlled by the thermostat and catches fire due to overheating etc etc.

lol...
yes I know.
whilst sitting on the loo  giving it some thought,
I will check the motor wires, but first I got to check if its a reverse-air dryer, thinking praps, both live feeds going into the motor = resulting in it cant go either way...
the heating panel has just one plastic connector block and is handed = cant be wrong, and yes has 2 thermastats all wired, another in the air out duct too, to check for overheat/anti crease function.
my time will be spent with removing powered wires and checking for live feeds, and not getting electrickerycuted

dam woman who sold it said she had fitted a new drive belt, so took off the wires..........................so it could be anything short of a teamaker shes put back.

oh what fun I can have instead of being lazy for a day or so..:tea:
