Thanks again for all your collective advice on which Range Rover to have next. The decision was made to go for a P38 again and stay with Diesel. I found a great example with full history and so far... No faults!
So my question is: Thanks to all of the learning that I have done on LANDYZONE, I am now aware of some of the problems that will crop up. I will have a problem with WiFi knackering my ability to start the car (it happened on the last one). So as a solution I could buy a sync mate. Then there will be the issues with the EAS. So purchase an EAS Kicker? Or should I make the leap and go for the NANOCOM? The problem is that I am still learning the P38, Could I do more damage than good with the NANOCOM? So stick with the plug in helpers? Or is there something else that will help with the routine problems that I can tackle myself? Although I live in a very rural location, at work we have a huge amount of WiFi traffic so this will be a problem.
Thanks again for expert help.
Happy New Year all,
Charles.

Hi Charles.

I have a D2 and really like my nanocom.

But just so you are aware. Bearmach ( I have no affiliation ) are bringing out a new Hawkeye early next year that is going to be unlocked for all LR products, so they say.

Cheers

I've seen a couple of mentions of this over the last few weeks. Anyone got any info/links etc.?
Sorry to hijack a thread BTW.

Hi,

As far as I can tell, they released it unofficially at the Stoneleigh show, as they took advanced orders for it (£250) I could not go to the show, but when I heard about it on FB, I was a bit disbelieving. So, I called bearmach direct and spoke to a Lady there. She told me the following info , planned price £299, unlocked for ALL LR vehicles.

I have not seen or found even after searching a link that gives up to date info.

As the price is not that different to wait until a few others have them , I have decided to wait and see what others think first.

Cheers

We have hawkeye, and all the cables and dongles that go with it. This is, IME, a pain. On occasion the dongles seem to grow legs and wander off (!).

If I were buying again, I'd get one machine that did everything.... which IIRC is BBS' Nanocom.

I have nanocom and it's pulled me out of the fertiliser more than once.
For example, 2 days ago, dropped passenger window to clear the water off it and it wouldn't go back up. Checked the switch output on nanocom and nothing. As I didn't have time to pull the switch pack out, I simply used nanocom to drive the window back up and added the switch pack to the "jobs to do list"
I wouldn't be without it and it's so small it fits in the centre cubby so stays with the car at all times.
