@kds That vellman looks interesting, don't know if you have the later model?
Are both of your batteries connected all the time? I assume you didn't rewire all the audio to the second battery.

Yes thats the newer version of mine same spec, I have 2 remotes, one in the car and one hangs up in the kitchen for remote switch on, I programmed one channel for 15 mins timed on and second channel for 30 mins which I used this afternoon to give the FBH a good run (had the battery charger pluged in). The second battery is connected to rear fuse board direct (have put a battery cut off switch in line just in case need to isolate it ) purists will say wrong way to do it but its been like that 3 years no problem quite a few have done it this way over on fullfat, not rewired any thing major job to rewire just for audio.

My battery is just connected to a 20amp charge controller and just has an auxhiliary socket and a 100amp take off just incase. Plus I have some long jump leads just incase I need to jump start it straight from the battery. Agreed would be a pita to rewire the audio.
I'll see how I get on this weekend with my FBH and controller, weather permitting.

@kds Sorry didn't get the flag up for your post.
Yes I've watched a few of their videos, very interesting. I had a bit of an email exchange with them about the results I was getting with my Webasto testing software and they were very helpfull.
I was going to send my PCB to them for repair but I've managed to get a working one out of my old one and the one I was given by my local indi.
So that was my job today, all fitted, along with new remote. Remote wiring was very strange but all sorted after lots of head scratching and metering. :D:D
Now I just need a refund on the faulty ebay one.

Good news, I used the connector for the telestart and wired the Vellman to that seem to remember it got a bit interesting setting it up counting the flashes for length of time for each channel, kept losing count, engine gets up to temp lot quicker with FBH running.

Yes I pinched the feed from the telestart also, Wiring for the cheapo remote was not how i'd expected, will post it here when I get a chance. Going into the office in the morning so I'll see how it goes.

Emailed the ebay seller about a refund on the faulty FBH and he'd already sent out a replacement. Just bench tested it and apart from a slightly noisy water pump it's testing ok so I now have a spare.
We all know how this goes, first its a spare FBH then its an engine, then gearbox, axle, steering rack, couple of doors just in case ( see the pattern can you).

So how did it go ? Engine warm up any quicker ?

It did seem to yes, obviously it's gonna need a few more runs out to fully test :D

That's why I have a garage like an obsticle course and a shed that I can't physically get in :D
Doesn't help having 2 cars and 3 motorbikes, and enough tools to rebuild a house or car.

Sounds a bit like my garage, I have to take couple of grand kids bikes out just so can stand in garage get out the wind.

Fired up the FBH with the remote this morning them made up my travel mug, took the missus a cup of tea then started the day in a nice warm car :D:D:D:D
I now have a nice collection of 3 faulty FBH's, 1 worker on the car and 1 spare.

No snow here yet but I'm ready for it. Got a 60w solar panel coming tomorrow so we'll see if that puts out enough to offset the FBH a bit. Gonna monitor the voltage on the Bluetooth battery monitor with the solar panel on and the FBH running. Should be interesting.
