Its been a couple of years since I did this so some of the details are lost in time (its an age thing) but as I understand it on my 2004 as long as 12 volts is supply`d to the switched live on the receiver connection in right rear the FBH will run until it either reaches temp or battery voltage drops to a critical point then the FBH cuts out still leaving you with enough power in the battery to start the car, I tested that out by accident last year when having been working on the car the day before with out the battery charger on I stood near the back door pressing remote fob to switch it on and no FBH firing up but when I did go to start the car 10 mins later it started ok but I knew the battery was down. Right not saying this next bit too loud but pulled Fbh fuse to reset it and (drum roll) pressed remote and it fired up ! left it to do its thing for 10 mins and didnt cut out now if it works again in the morning is any bodies guess.@kds I've just been to my local garage and they have given me a couple of faulty FBH units so hopefully I can make 1 or 2 good ones out of the 3 that I now have, 4 if you count the ebay one i'm trying to get replaced
I'm confused about the remote start being enabled on the car unless it's just to tell the car to look for the wakeup command from the FBH when the 12v is applied to pin 1. IMO the FBH is just a switch that shorts out pins 1 & 3 as it has no WBUS connection.
