When you are ready for the cam dial I will help you if you want.
2479 heads are 4.6 mate, they're 10 bolt
Ahh okay, so would it have come out the factory with them on ? Or has some one put a pair of 4.6 heads on it? yeah there 10 bolt
well, is it a 3.9 out of a D1 or a 4.0 out of a D2/P38?
Theyre both the same capacity, but the 4.0 had the 2479 heads.
Tidy workshop at least, I'd start by sorting that out!
The oil pump does not matter about timing.......but please lube the oil pump with vaseline or assembly lube to help it create the vacuum it will need to draw the oil up and start pumping it through the engine.
So do you have the cam specs to do the phasing/dialling in?
Sweet and yeah gonna fill oil pump with assembly lube. have a sheet that came with the cam have had a read but doesn't make to much sense to be yet
