Painted up my petrol tank, rocker covers and sump, i just did sump in grey primer so if it leaks can see what direction its coming from. Rockers primed then black, may mess about with red on top but not sure yet will do pics tomorrow :)

Don't worry cos your heads are better and worth at least 100 quid as they are so you're onto a winner, you have the best valve stem seals and waisted stem valves so they will breath better, plus you can use composite gaskets so you're all good :)

DTI and stainless bolt set arrived :D , along with new oil pump. ImageUploadedByTapatalk 21372789029.426206.jpg
Put sump on tonight.

For fitting new oil pump any advice on orientation? cant see any markings on the pump or a side thats different, will check in Haynes. Old pump had a marking but new one doesnt :s

Cheers

The oil pump does not matter about timing.......but please lube the oil pump with vaseline or assembly lube to help it create the vacuum it will need to draw the oil up and start pumping it through the engine.

So do you have the cam specs to do the phasing/dialling in?

Sweet and yeah gonna fill oil pump with assembly lube. have a sheet that came with the cam have had a read but doesn't make to much sense to be yet

might be a bit awkward doing it enough to get it primed well, at least with petroleum jelly its semi solid.. then turns to liquid around 30deg
