no i'm not seriously even thinking about petrol, i just couldn't believe they'd claim such a thing...2.0MPi? you can't be serious. I would avoid it like the plague!
It was bad enough in the 80's when Rover decided to put the ludicrous 'O' series 2.0 petrol in the SD1 model. That was a big car but not as big as a disco.
I recently read that the "2ltr mpi is often overlooked and actually returns better mpg than the tdi"
can this possibly be true???
any 2ltr petrol cars that i have owned, i.e ford and audi estates have returned apauling mpg.
anyone actually owned a mpi? worth a look?
I have an mpi (because I love discos but couldn't afford a tdi)
performance wise it is quicker on road than the tdi (I have overtaken enough of them to know) it returns a similar mpg to the v8 purely because of the power to weight ratio, but dont knock it because it brings more of us into the land rover fold who maybe wouldnt have been able to buy a tdi td5 etc...I am wondering if any of you experianced people know if the rover 620 turbo will be an easy swop for my poorly 2.0i...
I don't give up!You are quite right, however this thread is 15 years old
