I thought that Weber was German, but a quick search seems to imply that it is now American (Redline Weber)
Maybe someone will know?

My only point was - so wot if Holley is Yank - if its betta than the NOS Rover product? Dont forget that the Rover V8 is based on a Buick 215 Yank lump!

its italian and last i heard it was owned by magnetti-marelli or however they chose to spell it. of course as we all know 'the weber' is the SI unit of magnetic flux.

Magnetti-Marelli still own the tradename of Weber, however rumour has it that they, like lots of carburettor manufacturers, have almost stopped production since the introduction of Electronic fuel management systems.

it still aint British, but I have to admit - I too have a soft-spot for Webers.

ah never said it was british it just ain't yank.... and yer right they don't make em any more but some company is making 'copies' of some of them

it got the 2.25 lump and if we ignored all engines with any hint of yanky input we'd be running about with covertry climax engine in all our cars. its only got a small link to the yank thing ..they both have 8 cylinders and if my memory serve well the yank one was all cast iron.

between the first lot and the second lot.. had a masser when i got caught with the second hairy lasso...which i ran out of money to fix due to her thinking a kitchen was more important.

he fixed me son bike with a fence post and a big fook orf hammer...its a proper road racing bike as me sons' a club member. the dork was trying to fit a 7 gear sporcket into the space fer a five gear one....he's a reet funny fooker..he gets all heated and starts jumping up and down .then when he finished jumping and shouting , i smile and blow him a kiss...that fooks him reet up..
