Two very nice motors. I wanted one of both of them but never got round to it. Bet you wished you had kept them.

Here's me from a couple of days ago first feeling a little sorry for myself... Second alot happier going home! Although my wife threatened to push me down the stairs if I gave any more 'directions'!
Thank you to all the staff at guy's hospital in london ' tawn (far from home I know!)
 
As long as we are showing off our old cars here is my 1955 MG-ZA.
I bought it from San Diego so no rust. (None at all, What a treat!) Not being able to leave well enough alone it ended up with a supercharged MGB 3-main 1800 bored .060 over with an alloy head, MGB overdrive gearbox and 3.9 rear end. The wheels are MGA Twin-cam with MGB disc brakes on the front, and MGF on the rear. It was a lot of fun to drive and quick for a Magnette with something over 2x the power of a standard ZA. Its now somewhere in the US Midwest. Its one of those cars I wish I had kept.

HOWEVER -

Must confess when I first saw it I thought it was a B series with a Freelander IRD attached to the head with an SU carb on the input shaft :D:D

Are they the ones with the 'giggle band' at the top ? (get past that and yer laughing) :D

You could always tell the posh birds, knickers always over the top of the sussy straps... AND, tattoos spelt correctly.....

Thanks gstuart... To be fair they were great staff, especially with the enormity of the place, am I right I'm thinking it's the busiest in the UK? Coming from the backwaters it certainly felt busier than anything I have seen before!I was fast-tracked via the 'Dreadnought' service.. In fairness I went to see the consultant on the 24th and I was in having op on the 30th!!!! Amazing.. I was looking at least a 18 month wait locally! And work won't allow me back in duty until 100% so was important to get it done.im already bored of resting though but wife has warned me under NO circumstances am I allowed near the 110 :-( bollocks.. So close to finishing... He says...

Nice one mate, also really glad you are on the mend. !.. I worked for the NHS as a senior manager prior to retirement. (early lol - at 47 - good pension in those days) I was also clinical for 13 years. I can assure you this - in the UK, ANY issues at all that really concern you - pay to see a consultant privately ! . it will cost you quite a few bob, however, any issues will put you on top of the list (as the same consultant works for the NHS and has his / her own list !) - you can often be in for treatment in a week or less. ! - MONEY talks. !.. is it right or wrong ? not my issue ! - I am only the messenger - but what I say is true !.
You only pay for the private consult - the rest is on the NHS - it is called Queue jumping and absolutely works. - that is the hard fact.
I only wish the UK NHS was as good as the NHS here in Portugal - Here ! - it is simply excellent. FAR FAR better than the UK and that is a sad thing to say.

Bottom line - I wish you well and all sounds great :)

Thanks for your best wishes and I totally believe in what you say, from what I experienced (which I can only assume is the same as if I had paid privately for the consultation) it's definitely the case, a shame for those who don't have access to either the funds or as I do the dreadnought service.
