Hello, new member here, first time posting.

I have a RR vogue autobiography 54 plate. 4.4l petrol. My issue is I can’t get into the car. I have the key which unlocks the drivers door fine but the handle seems to be jammed/stuck or broken as the door won’t actually open even though it’s unlocked. The car has been sitting for a while so the battery is dead meaning the central locking won’t open. I’m really reluctant to break a window or cause any damage to the car so any advice would be appreciated. There is no key access on any of the other doors or the boot. Someone told me I can use jump leads to give the batteryenough power to let the central locking kick inbut as I can’t get under the bonnet I don’t know whereto attach the leads.

As it's an L322, I'm not even sure that it's possible to use the hitch socket to charge the battery with all the electronics involved

7s or 13 pin has a direct live...doesn’t it ? We have a charge socket for the 13pin on ours. Never used it or tested the socket but some do.

Having been in this exact situation before I can say that the starter motor charging method sounds the best. You won't need to leave it on too long to get enough charge to power the unlock.
No need for a hammer.

But won't open.
Probably wants to get in through one of the other doors to get at the inside of the driver's door.

That was my thought. If it's unlocked then use another door. Or are we being too logical.

@MartyMcFly welcome. First off you do not have a Range Rover Vogue Autobiography. You have a Range Rover L322 with an ?Autobiography? trim
Second, There are posts, on the site , that deal with broken locks. Locked out is a different matter.

With a dead battery, none of the other doors will unlock.

Doesn’t look like I have the 13 pin socket. But tbh I’m not sure where the 7s socket is located to even check that one

do you have a tow bar and plug/s.
If it’s the old style there will be 2 sockets. It’s the second one you need.
